Events at Street Farm
Fri, 1st February 2019 - Street Farm Update - February 2019
Street Farm Service Users made the most of the recent snow at the beginning of February.
Staff and Service Users were unable to leave Street Farm due to the snow & ice, so snowballs, snowmen & baking were the solution to boredom.
Monday afternoons is a baking session for some of our Service Users.
Service Users choose recipes, think about what ingredients are needed, read the recipes, measure ingredients, timings in the oven etc. and then get to taste test the results. All are important life skills for potentially moving out into the community.
Street Farm held their annual charter event in February, this year, in the Craftshed.
Family entertainer of the Year 2018 Nutty Noah entertained 35 Service Users.
As you can see from the photos, a marvellous time was had by all.
Many thanks to everyone who attended & many thanks to Nutty Noah!
Two Service Users had a lovely day at local attraction, Puxton Park.
At any age, a bounce on the trampoline & a close up experience with animals in the early spring sunshine, is a tonic for anyone!
A Service User celebrated her birthday in February.
She went home & celebrated with her family.
Tue, 1st January 2019 - Street Farm Update - January 2019
Our garden has been in need of some TLC recently.
The Horticulture Group came down for a day and did some weeding, pruning and dug out some very voracious Ivy.
There is still more to be done, so they are planning another visit.
Thank you very much!
Two of our Service Users celebrated birthdays in January.
One Service User had a special birthday tea at Street Farm and then celebrated at home.
Another celebrated at Street Farm and then went out with her boyfriend and 10 friends for a meal.
A good time was had by all.
Service Users made a Christmas Tree Cake.
Service Users enjoyed many Christmas parties and this is one of them at the Craftshed. They also met Father Christmas and received a present from him.
