A time of celebration at the Courtyard as one of our Service Users has moved on into a property in the community.
The Service User has been living at the Courtyard since 2013, and has progressed steadily over this time and has now left for pastures new.
All the Staff at the Courtyard wish him all the very best for his future.

Also this month the Courtyard has welcomed a new Service Manager and Team Leader in the shape of Tony Ainsworth and Julia Burnell. We will all support them and wish them the very best in their new roles in Bradbury House Limited.

Christmas was celebrated at the Courtyard. Staff and Service Users were invited from other houses on the farm site for everyone to eat together.
A lot of the Service Users were lucky enough to be able to spend Christmas time with their families, so there were a reduced number on site.
However those who did come had a lovely time and enjoyed the full Christmas dinner cooked by Staff.

One of our Service Users had a day out visiting Farleigh Hungerford Castle.
He was lucky and caught some of the good autumnal weather.
He said he thoroughly enjoyed walking around the castle ruins and found it enjoyable and educational.

One of our Service Users enjoyed a damp day at Bristol Zoo seeing all the animals and enjoying a picnic. On the way back to the house they called into Chew Valley Lakes to get a delicious portion of cod and chips which they bought back to the house to enjoy.

This month saw Meadowlands holding its annual charter event, a total change from our usual offering, with Alan from Pitcombe Rock Falconry, which is a small Bird of Prey Rescue Centre near to Castle Cary visiting us.
We met and greeted his birds of prey, who are unable to return to the wild:
