Street Farm

Street Farm is a development of eleven high quality placements registered with The Care Quality Commission (CQC). They provide specialist support for a group of adult women with learning disabilities who may have a dual diagnosis, associated social & communication difficulties and behaviours that challenge.

This service strives to build and support a sustainable transition from residential care into less supported accommodation alternatives by service users identifying their own interest and ambitions through the development of vocational and life skills. The main focus being on sustainable and meaningful roles within the local community. There is focus on service users gaining work placements. Placements have included The British Heart Foundation, Weston Hospice, The Good Earth Coffee Shop, Riding Stables, Kennels and local Cattery.

In supporting service users to improve their skills, Street Farm has developed strong links with a local Equestrian Centre. This facility is a renowned riding school a short drive from Draycott. The Equestrian Centre offers our service users a unique type of therapy and the opportunity to work towards qualifications in equestrian care.

Located in the attractive village of Draycott, near Cheddar in Somerset, Street Farm is a recently-restored, two-storey farm house set in attractive gardens. The main property has six rooms with an additional four adjoining apartments within the grounds.

The apartments comprise of living areas, kitchens, bathrooms and bedrooms. There is also a gym adjacent to one apartment. All come fully furnished with space for service users to personalise them to their own tastes

Service users living at Street Farm also have the opportunity to attend the day-service provision provided at our farm to further development their skills and interests.
